Tips For Any Woman Who Needs To Balance Work, Kids, And You’re Health

Most women will tell you that being a woman is no easy feat. Having children and a full time job will only add to this already hard job. Women for years have been trying to find the balance they need for their lives as mother, and employee. Keeping healthy can sometimes take a back seat to all the other things in your life. When taking care of everyone else, it is easy to forget to take care of yourself.

Of course we want to grab that glass of OJ in the mornings to keep up our health. This may not happen when you are running out the front door to get the children to class on time and you to the office. You may find that it’s a miracle you remembered your laptop bag much less the orange juice you should have drank. After a morning like this you find yourself running into work and breathing a sigh of relief when you realize you are not late. Does this sound familiar?

Mornings like this should happen occasionally not every morning. You can try a few simple things to stop all the rushing in the mornings. Simply set your alarm thirty minutes before you normally get up, and have the clothes for the day already laid out for your children and yourself. If you are still rushing after trying these little tips you may want to consider making a schedule for each morning.

There is a way to balance your life; you just have to figure out how to find it. I know after a long day of working, running kids every where, and taking care of the house and dinner you really do not want to think about schedules anymore. A schedule can mean the difference between living in a circus or a home. Making a schedule for your family to live by will give you more time for yourself.

While making your family schedule you should give yourself at least an hour every night to take care of your needs. You will find that having your needs met make it easier to meet everyone else’s needs. Tell your family that during your hour each night that you are not to be disturbed.

Grab a great book and a glass of your favorite wine and climb into a hot bath tub. This is something you have earned so do not feel guilty about taking this time. The restless nights will become a thing of the past. Retiring for the night will be something you look forward to, not something you dread anymore. You will be surprised how much better you can sleep when you are not climbing into bed stressed. When you relax, you life will become more relaxed.

This may not seem possible but trust me that old saying ‘if moms not happy no one is’ is a very true statement. Try giving yourself an hour each night to pamper yourself and I assure you that you will be able to toss the hair loss vitamin bottle you have under your cabinet.
