A Married Couple Becomes Alarmed About Their Excessive And Hazardous Drinking And Starts To Suffer Through Time, Stress, And Anger Management Difficulties

Sarah and Jerry have been married for five years. They wanted to have some excitement and fun before they decided to have some kids and so they by design established an extremely vigorous social life.

The main issue, it needs to be stressed, is that nearly everything they do socially somehow involves drinking. For example, all of the sporting events, happy hours, family get-togethers, parties with friends, and dinner engagements they attend are related to drinking.

Sarah and Jerry Start to Perceive Some Clear-Cut Alcohol Related Difficulties That are Associated With Their Irresponsible Drinking

If they were sporadic drinkers, this wouldn’t be such a major problem. Because they drink quite heavily, nevertheless, they are beginning to notice some instantly noticeable alcohol-related issues in their lives.

For instance, a short time ago Jerry was arrested for his first DUI and has been shirking responsibilities at work due to alcohol-related health issues. Moreover, Jerry’s last two or three performance evaluations at work have been less than passable and he has begun to forget what he does or says the times that he drinks. As a final point, Jerry has been going through sleep-related problems and his family has begun to exhibit some uneasiness about his drinking situation.

Similar to Jerry’s situation, Sarah has been feeling unhappy with life in general and to cope with these feelings, she has been drinking more intensely than any time in the past ten months. Moreover, Sarah has been experiencing quite a few migraine headaches and suffering from terrible hangovers because of her drinking. As a final point, Sarah has been feeling significantly less energetic in the morning, she has been getting to work late almost every Monday, and she has been getting some unhelpful criticism from her friends, family members, coworkers, and relatives about her heavy drinking.

Jerry and Sarah and Begin to Suffer Through Anger, Stress, and Time Management Issues

In addition to the above listed alcohol related issues, Jerry and Sarah started to face time, anger, and stress management problems. It was obvious to see that their alcohol related problems were adversely affecting virtually every aspect of their lives.

Watching the Television and Going Through the Channels and Discovering An Exciting Program About the Signs of Alcohol Dependency

One Sunday evening while watching the television, Jerry and Sarah accidently discovered a remarkable program about the signs of alcoholism.

This television documentary was a real realization to Jerry and Sarah because several of the alcoholism signs that were highlighted seemed like they were undeniably correlated with quite a few of the alcohol-related drinking problems Jerry and Sarah had been suffering through.

A Candid Conversation About Drinking Behavior Exposes Alcohol Related
Financial, Health, Relationship, Legal, and Employment Problems

After watching the TV documentary, Jerry and Sarah determined that they needed to have a truthful talk about their drinking behavior. They both concurred that most, if not all, of their social functions somehow included drinking, that they were drinking in a hazardous manner, and that as a married couple, they were starting to see alcohol related employment, health, legal, relationship, and financial problems for the first time in their lives.

With thoughts of the television special still running through her mind, Sarah asked Jerry if some of the alcohol addiction signs they have been displaying could be a warning that they are addicted to alcohol or perhaps becoming alcoholic. Jerry didn’t know the answer to Sarah’s inquiry and so he suggested that they make an appointment with one of the physicians at the nearby drug and alcohol rehab facility to find out more about the gravity of their drinking issues.

Facing Your Drinking Difficulties May Decrease Your Sense of Dread and Give You A Degree of Peacefulness

Ironically, although their drinking circumstances hadn’t yet changed, it was clear that Sarah and Jerry were at least attending to their drinking difficulties, they were ready to find out more about their drinking situation, and they were interested in finding out how they could significantly cut back on or do away with the drinking-related issues that had begun to escalate. What is more, by dealing with their abusive drinking, Jerry and Sarah learned how to avoid marital conflict by becoming better marital partners and friends.

When Sarah and Jerry went to bed that night, they determined that the next morning, Jerry would call and schedule an appointment for both of them at the alcohol rehab center located just East of the State Capital. After they promised one another that they would do whatever it takes to surmount the drinking difficulties that had cropped up in their lives, they actually had the most energizing night’s sleep they could recollect in the last four weeks.

Just before she fell asleep, Sarah turned to Jerry and noted how effortless it is to reduce one’s sense of dread and truly experience a sense of calm by coming to terms with one’s problems head-on and making a decision to do something constructive about them.
